In order to understand the ways that surgical interventions may be able to help you to lose weight, you must first understand the non surgical weight loss methods. You can lose weight with surgery, but you can also do it the old fashioned way, which is something you already know. But until you understand exactly the meaning of how and why people gain and lose weight without surgical intervention, you will run the risk a failing to utilize the benefits of your operation and can even run into some additional risks related to, for example, the surgery weight loss diet.

So let me explain the mechanism whereby the body begins to accumulate fat, because it is a peculiar system and is in many ways counterintuitive. Therefore I will pose all of this information in the absolute plainest language possible in order that the common individual can begin to grasp all the nuance in just a short amount of sentences that there is to know in dietary science. This is in spite of the centuries of controversy and the many different opinions about how to be skinny, how to lose fat, how to get the ideal figure, etc. The simple truth is much more unpredictable, because it partly has to do with the individual body, and that we know scientifically. But perhaps this is not to the extent that one might suspect.

I can tell you one thing for certain, and you have probably thought this was true all of your life but it is false: eating fat does not make you fat. Not exactly. Most people believe that when you eat fat, it is “fattening” because the fat must be able to go directly into your existing fat cells. It’s just the right format of cellular material. But this is not exactly true. The key ingredient is insulin, which allows fat, protein, and sugar to enter into your cells for use or storage. Without enough insulin in your blood, the fat that you eat will not be stored. With too much insulin, all of the fat will be stored, and extra sugars will be immediately converted into additional fats.

Sugar in the blood is what causes insulin to be released, so anytime you eat anything that puts sugar into the blood, you contribute to your own fat. The more sugar and carbohydrate you eat, the fatter you are sure to become. Sounds simple, but is complicated I am afraid. The important thing to know is that if you want to get on an effective non surgical weight loss diet, you will need to cut out the insulin and that means cutting out the sugar. All carbohydrate is converted to sugar in your body, so to lose fat you must eat fewer carbohydrates.

This is in spite of all you may have been told about calories, but does not completely discount this idea of weight loss. Indeed, to lose weight you must eat fewer calories than you need. Otherwise, you will not store new fat, but you will certainly not shed your existing fat either. Many surgical weight loss operations essential remove fat from your body, and others remove your ability to eat. But in order to shed the fat that you have on your body without any weight loss surgery, you have to eat less carbs and eat fewer calories than you need. Then your body will utilize the fat that it has stored in order to maintain proper energy levels.

Another important facet is to remember that you need nutrients through all of this. You are trying to shed fat, but your body still needs protein all the time! Eat it! Otherwise you will lose your muscles and not be able to burn any calories anymore. A successful non surgical diet plan has to include plenty of protein and nutrients. Don’t eat just salad; it has some nutrients but you need to maintain your muscles, it’s just common sense. Fat and protein and carbs they are all different things. Don’t buy the hype that a calorie in is the same no matter where it comes from. Your body doesn’t burn all the food you put into it like some kind of coal-burning power plant. When you eat protein, your body builds muscle out of it, it will only burn it up if you don’t have enough other types of fuel.
